Richmond, VA (June 7, 2010) – Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action, the May 15th benefit concert from Grammy nominated, multi-platinum selling recording artist and actor Chris Brown, drew a crowd of 5,500 fans, earning $50,000 for charity partners. The benefit concert, headlined by Brown and held in his hometown of Richmond, VA, earned funds for The American Red Cross, Greater Richmond Chapter to support their continued relief efforts in Haiti and their local outreach in the Richmond community, as well as The Central Virginia Food Bank, a FeedMore organization, which fights hunger in the region by providing food and grocery products to an extensive network of partner agencies.
Brown personally presented each agency with a check for $25,000 on June 7, 2010.
Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action performers included Grammy Nominated recording artists Keri Hilson, Trey Songz and Mario, Grammy Award winning producer and rapper T-Pain and chart toppers Bow Wow, Ryan Leslie and Tank. Brown closed the show, performing tracks from Graffiti, his third album on Jive Records and latest effort, as well as his original hits “Crawl†and “Kiss Kissâ€.
