“We feel good now that everybody’s talking about his music, which is exactly what Chris’ intention is,” said Tom Carrabba, the executive vice president and general manager of Jive Label Group, Brown’s home label since he released his first album at age 16. (Brown’s representative said the singer would not be interviewed for this story and, as of now, would not be attending the awards).
Carrabba says Brown has a newfound confidence, which he believes is the reason for the singer’s current success.
“I think when he was a little bit younger he was still trying to find his way a little bit and fine-tune his craft, but I think over the last two years he’s absolutely developed a confidence and is very secure in his decision-making process,” Carrabba said.

Did you catch the tidbit in the story? His rep said he would not be attending the awards (Grammys). Good thing it’s not an issue of whether or not they want him to come!

I'm glad that A Jive Representative took the time to speak up. It's nice to hear that they helped Chris and believe in him. I think that most of his fans think that Chris should just "bounce back" and be at every award show. He will though, in the future I''m sure. It just takes patience. They've been doing the best they can. He has promos, he will have more and if he doesn't, just support him. I don't think the fans know how much they're doing for him, even if they don't believe it. Chris will dominate and is dominating, no matter how long it takes he will make his presence known again. He's here to stay.
